One area of the business that continues to expand is our Business Development Team who manage our customer base, supporting them with enquiries and helping them to win business. This involves a lot of contact by phone and email, both proactive and reactive, using a CRM system to record all customer interaction and a separate sales & purchasing software for all quotations and orders. Business Development Team Vacancy

To meet growing customer demand, Flowtechnology UK is seeking to expand its existing UK Business Development Team with the addition of a confident, enthusiastic Business Development person who should be capable of working on their own initiative to maximise sales.

Job Summary
Office based, you will be responsible for managing and building relationships with existing trade customers in order to maximise sales. There will be no cold calling. The ideal candidate will have experience of hydraulic, compressed air, plumbing or heating trade environments in either a sales, technical or trade counter role.

Essential Skills:

  • PC literate, in particular Excel & Outlook
  • Well organised - company systems must be used to retain all records
  • Good communication skills, including a confident and professional telephone manner
  • Comfortable making pro-active outbound calls to customers
  • Robust attendance record
  • Ability to retain and recall information after a period of time
  • Self-disciplined with the ability to prioritise
  • Ability to work independently and be a team player
  • Examples of target focused results (for those from a sales background)


Desirable Skills:

  • Industry/product knowledge
  • Previous experience in a customer facing role
  • Imaginative, in terms of promotions and offers
  • Comfortable with relaying information to a group of people
  • Problem solving skills                

Salary to reflect experience. Pension scheme, life assurance and profit related bonus after qualifying period. Full training on systems and basic products will be given.

Working hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 5.00pm on Friday. Due to our location, own transport is a necessity.

UK & Europe Supplier Account Manager Vacancy

Flowtechnology UK is seeking to recruit for its Supply Chain Team with the addition of a confident, enthusiastic person who should be capable of working on their own initiative.

Job Summary

Office based, you will work with an established supply chain team, raising purchase orders and expediting stock in line with sales orders, production schedules and patterns.

Key accountabilities:

  • Placing orders for stock in line with sales orders or production schedules, to minimum stock thresholds as directed by production schedules and/or sales patterns
  • Creating and managing stock codes
  • Drive efficiencies throughout the supply chain through continuous improvement of processes and automation
  • Expediting orders
  • Demonstrate a flexible can-do attitude
  • Build and nurture key relationships across external suppliers and internal colleagues
  • Responsible for ensuring updates of forecast information
  • Maintain system to ensure accurate orders are raised
  • Resolving purchase price discrepancies in liaison with purchase ledger

 

Qualifications, skills and experience for this role:

  • Planning, organising and prioritising
  • Good computer literacy - particularly Excel
  • Numerical analytical skills
  • Administration skills - able to pay good attention to detail
  • Personal initiative and drive
  • Ability to work within a team - supporting and enabling others
  • Although not essential, the ideal candidate will have some supply chain experience and/or a CIPS qualification

Product Manager Vacancy

An opportunity has arisen for an internal based position managing existing product portfolio and supplier base whilst also identifying new product development opportunities.

It is key to the company that we stay at the forefront of product supply into the market ensuring best price, best quality and best availability. You will need an in-depth understanding of fluid power products in one or more of its key sectors: Pneumatic, Hydraulic or Industrial product.

Your negotiation skills will need to be of the highest level whilst considering all aspects of the supply chain process from start to finish. The detail of information that you procure must be of a detailed and accurate calibre as it will be used to populate catalogues, ecommerce platforms and company systems. Part of the role may involve some travel.

  • In-depth Fluid Power product knowledge.
  • High level negotiator
  • Good communication skills, including a confident and professional manner
